Hey Lads, If you haven't already signed up for the mini league I setup could you please do this before Saturday if that's ok. This will make it easier for us to track how we scored each week and discuss possible changes for the following week. Cheers fantasy.premierleague.com/?autojoin-code=659523-918679

Ok lads, exciting news.
After giving myself 24 hours to calmly assess the situation and look over my analysis and the great work from our scouting department I can confirm our squad for our debut week is as follows:
1. Grubs 2. Elmes 85 3. Grand Thibauto 4. Lord 5. Hooky 6. Mr (C)ALM
Hits are a massive handicap in this type of competition and I think they could be critical in the final result each week given the likelihood of common captain picks. Based on this I ended up narrowing down the last bench spot to Ryan and myself.
Assessing our forward lines I just fancied my 'Lukaku + Defoe' partnership against Ryan's 'Austin + Wilson' this week as my front pair are at home to weak opposition and will be the focal points for their teams.
Time will tell whether this is the right call but I'm comfortable that our starting 6 are up for the challenge of the Phillistines. I'm really excited to see how things play out over the weekend.
Personally I have already achieved what I set to do even before a ball was kicked; bring together a great group of blokes equally as nuts about fantasy football as I am and reignite my interest in the game after a slow start. I'm already looking at my team and tactics differently and really enjoying the challenge of getting us organized for our first game.
It's great seeing our team logo splashed all over the FFS website and the banter in full flow already. Alright, enough from me for now. Let's make the most of our last 2 days pre tournament training in sunny Saipan.
Cheers

Seems like its well thought out. I'm yet to make a transfer for the week. And will likely do it before the deadline.
I do have Wilson Cameron and Costa in my lineup and going with Lukaku as my Captain. But if you guys think KDB is the right course, I might cap him too.
Hoping Wilson and Costa would be fit, my FT would be used for Cameron, who will become Evans/McAuley. The latter will price me out of Walcott for the next week. If any of Wilson/Costa doesn't play a minute, De Roon will come on.

I could also get Brunt as a Differential, but would hate it if he gets benched.

Rasib - personally I like the idea of Lukaku(C) over KDB (at home, has pens, weaker opposition). All things being equal, McAuley is worth the extra as he carries more threat at corners/free-kicks, but I understand your thinking about the need for Arsenal cover next week. I would probably edge towards keeping your options open.
Skip - thanks for all your work. The team is in good shape and raring to go. Anyone had any news about Alex? Need to put him in Jonty's babies imminent table.

Agree with Lukaku captain option. Even half considering it myself especially with the distance Aguero is traveling there is a risk of him makin a substitute appearance instead of starting.
No word from Alex yet.

I didn't get McAuley in the end and opted for Stones instead. This was considering long term as West Brom defense has been awful so far and getting Evans would have probably got me a yellow card without a CS. Also, in GW15 my team plays tough opposition and WBA will too. And going with Lukaku captain as I was inclined to it for two weeks and YMA predicted Lukaku too. He is in a great run hope he is correct one more time.
So my final squad is: Heaton
Stones Alonso Morgan
Sanchez Firmino KDB Pedro
Costa Wilson Lukaku(C)
If Wilson is ruled out, De Roon comes in. However if both Costa/Wilson gets ruled out, I would get Austin in for Wilson.
No hits for now. Its 99.99% Final.

YMA's article has gone for Lukaku this week. His track record has been impressive so far. Might be worth going for Lukaku against Swansea.

With Costa confirmed to be fit.
That remains my final squad. If Wilson gets benched, De Roon comes in. Lukaku as cap. Good Luck Everyone.

I will go with the plan previously posted. hopefully Coutinho makes it - if not I can dream about Barrow's stunning differential value (or another one pointer). I will post some more banter tonight - our logo needs a presence on the new article - and we need to crank it up next week for the match with Austin Powers. Lots of FPL legends (and JonnyLeeds) in their squad, so any inside knowledge on which buttons to push would great.
BTW if you check the master spreadsheet provided by Jarvish, they tested the results sheet with the GW11 fixtures, which had us as top scorers across all 24 squads. Contenders baby!

Boss - this Lukaku captain talk is making me nervy. Would it be a problem to captain him instead of Ags? Agree with the talk of travel |I think.

Scratch that, sticking with Aguero. 13h hour days don't suit FPL decisions.

Hi all, apologies for late reply its been a crazy week! Proud to say that baby Leo was born on the 15th after a very long labour!
We only got home from the hospital late last night but I've had a quick at FF now and think il stick with my current team and save the transfer for next week so I can have a proper shift around if needed + il have time to do research!
Good luck this week lads, hoping we get off to a flyer!
